The governor-general should resign

I CALL on the governor-general to resign based on three reasons – two constitutional issues and one on moral ground.
PNG would not have gone through the current constitutional crisis had the governor-general followed due process.
He should have informed the PNG Medical Board to get two more medical reports as per the Constitution after signing the instrument to accept Prof Sir Isi Kevau’s first report on Aug 1.
He should have then informed parliament that there was no vacancy in the prime minister’s office as he had started the process to get three independent medical reports to ascertain the fitness of then prime minister.
He should be held responsible for allowing parliament to go ahead with the voting of the prime minister.
The other constitutional reason is why did he sign the gazette to suspend the chief justice when NEC did not followed due process?
He should be held in contempt for signing the instrument.
I call on the lawyers for the East Sepik provincial government to hold the governor-general in contempt.
The third is a moral issue.
If the governor-general wants to keep his wife, he has to resign as he has brought the office of the vice-regal to disrepute by marrying someone who is already married and not a divorcee.
Her husband is demanding compensation.
We cannot argue that this is personal matter as he is no longer a private citizen but the governor-general of PNG.
