The Grand Chief has spoken

THE O’Neill-Namah faction must take heed of Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare’s statement in The National (Dec 21).
He said: “Mark my word, the majority of those MPs will not come back after the 2012 general election.”
History will repeat itself.
The O’Neill-Namah regime can come up with all the tough laws fighting corruption, provide free education and others but that will not guarantee any of the 70-odd MPs in the government that they will return to office come next July.
I call on the young leaders such as Finschhafen MP Theodore Zurenuoc, Markham MP Tony Iguan, Bulolo MP Sam Basil, and Kundiawa-Gembogl MP Tobias Toby not to get carried away.
