THE Party confident of forming government after 2012 election

THE Triumph Heritage Empowerment Party is confident of forming the next government, party executives and parliamentary members say.
More than 500 party members and supporters, who gathered for its launching, said they had confidence in Treasurer Don Polye to lead the party into the general election this year.
They said the party belonged to the people of Papua New Guinea.
They said with more than 22 MPs, the party was going to perform exceptionally well because of its policies and the leadership of Polye.
Dr Moses Manwau from the People’s Party said he had been in parliament for only a year and had observed Polye to be a humble, peaceful, gracious, honest, loyal, patient leader who had respect and concern for people.
Vice-president Bungtabu Brown, who has been a strong supporter of the National Alliance party with her husband Sinai Br
own, said Polye had the necessary qualities to be the next prime minister.
“As a women’s leader, I foresee that we will do well in election under his leadership and
will be invited by the governor-general to from the government with our coalition partners,” she said.
Bougainville businessman and vice-president of New Guinea Islands Francis Embi said the New Guinea Islands had never aligned themselves with the Highlands but the five provinces in the region had decided to team up with and support THE Party because of the kind of leadership they had observed from Polye.
He said he was with the NA since 2009 but he saw the manner in which Polye was treated by the former regime.
A mother from Northern said she admired Polye’s leadership qualities and decided to join the party.
She said she was proud the party recognised women taking an active part in the party.
Western Highlands Governor Tom Olga said he was confident in young leaders.
Nine members of parliament from the Papuan region have declared their alliance and support for the leader and the party because they believed in the leadership of Polye and the policies of the party.
Polye thanked the members for their loyalty and support.
