The unkindest cut of all

Letters

THE practice by Papua New Guineans occupying senior positions in the public service to always get a cut or commission is having an adverse effect on ordinary citizens who are being denied their rights to access government services like claims, insurance, and advice.
Whoever is in a position of trust but fails to show love and compassion towards their fellow countrymen and women is sinful.
To those of you who are always enriching yourselves with cuts and commissions, bear in mind that the gifts, cash and rewards you are getting now will not add another second or minute to your life.
We always pay in the end and your death will be a terrible and painful one.
