There are no two winners

Letters

THE UPNG Rugby League grand final between Arts Warriors and HRM Hawks ended with both teams being declared winners and shared the price money.
We as the rugby league fans feel offended when we have two teams declared as winners.
Can PNGRFL clarify this?
Is there any provision that clearly states that under any circumstances, if and when a fight erupts or for any reason, both teams should be declared winners?
All we know in any sports is that there is always a winner and a loser.
It is spectacular to have two winners in sports.
UPNG Rugby League officials should explain how and why two teams were declared winners when in fact there should be one winner?
If two teams draw on full-time, the game goes into extra time – 10 minutes each way.
After extra time and the game is still tight, then call off the game so both teams should play again the following weekend.
If violence is caused by spectators, call off the game and go for re-match and tighten up the security.
How the UPNG Rugby league officials controlled the game was not in the best interest of the game.
