MEMBERS of the Apo, Angra, Angna and Kange Coffee Cooperative Society took a three-day walk along the Highlands highway as part of their Easter celebrations.

They started their walk last Wednesday from Togoba hill on the border of Western Highlands to Enga and arrived in Kundiawa, Chimbu on Good Friday.

Co-ordinator Brian Kuglame said the members valued every step they took.

“We want to reinstate fundamental principles of life back on to the land to promote and encourage economic growth among hardworking citizens.”

Kuglame said they would petition the Highlands governors to ban darts, card gambling and bingo in the region.

They will also petition the national government to remove tax on third level airlines to speed up the transportation of coffee into towns.
