Three men arrested over porn, police looking for ‘loadmaster’

THREE men were arrested for selling memory cards containing pornographic images and movies in Boroko recently.
National Drug and Vice-Squad Sgt Thomas Moiyang told The National that the cards were sold on the streets for K20 and K30.
“Those who bought the cards have shared the contents with others,” he added.
Moiyang said police were now looking for the mastermind who downloaded the pornographic materials in the cards for sale.
“The mastermind or loadmaster was the one communicating with and supplying the cards to the sellers.
“The cards were sold along with other items such as ear pieces, chargers, biros, mirrors, combs and other items supplied by Chinese shops.”
Moiyang said one of the three suspects was convicted in court last week.
“The other two suspects arrested on Tuesday were released but they are being monitored by police in our search for the mastermind supplier of the memory cards downloaded with illegal programmes,” he said.
