Three way split for 10.8km race

PORT Moresby Road Runners raced from Apex Park in Lokua Street, Boroko, on Saturday with
Noko Negosa winning the 1.8 km race in 8.06. 
Joe Kaikai cruised to victory in the 5.6 km race in 21.15 almost two minutes in front of Peter Coventry. 
In the 10.8 km race that winds its way through a maze of streets, including the length of Henao Drive, James Gurumi, John Elelu and Henry Horou decided the best thing was to stick together, and all crossed the line in 56.10. 
Paul Crouch-Chivers led the pack early on directing runners on the first lap of the park.  
Next Sunday’s races start at the Port Moresby Post Office at 5 am and all interested runners are welcome.
The results of Saturday’s race are as follows: 1.8 km race: 1. Noko Negosa  8.06, 2. Paulus Opus 10.20    
5.6 km race: 1. Joe Kaikai 21.15, 2. Peter Coventry 23.54, 3. Roger Hollis 26.53.
10.8 km race: 1. James Gurumi 56.10, 2. John Elelu 56.10, 3. Henry Horou 56.10.
