TICKETS for the first match of the two-game international series next Saturday (Oct 27) between the PNG LNG Kumuls and England Knights in Lae go on sale on Monday (Oct 22).
PNGRFL chief executive Reatau Rau said the tickets would be on sale from 9am at Andersons, Eriku and Foodmart in Lae.
He added Brian Bell Homecentre at Lae Market would be confirmed by today as a ticketing outlet.
The cost per ticket is K50.
“This covers all the stands and the grass areas at the Lae Rugby League ground,” Rau said.
The cost covers all ages.
“Everyone that enters the ground, whether a child or an adult must buy a ticket. There is no separate price for children,” Rau said.
He said this was the first appearance for the Kumuls in Lae since 2014 and the first time an international team was touring the country since the the mid 2000s when the Fiji Residents played PNG in a two-game series.
Rau said there were security features on the tickets to prevent counterfeiting.
“The tickets have security features on them and will be scanned on entry so there is no room for cheating,” he said.
Rau urged the public to buy tickets early as there would be no sales on game day.
Gates at the Rugby League grounds will open at 9am on Sat, Oct 27.
The curtain raiser will be a local representative Under-20’s match at 12.15pm.
The international fixture between PNG and England kicks off at 3pm.
