POMIO MP Paul Tiensten plans to challenge in court a decision to disqualify him from parliament.
Speaker Jeffery Nape yesterday disqualified Tiensten saying he had missed three consecutive sittings.
Sources said Tiensten was yesterday seeking legal advice from a law firm to assist him.
Steeles lawyers’ principal Rimbink Pato is expected to take the constitutional matter up on his behalf. Arnold Amet Jr, the lawyer representing Tiensten in his pending criminal cases in court, said his client would be engaging someone with a broader knowledge of constitutional law to represent him.
