CMSS Tigers franchise owner Jimmy Kim is pondering on his future alliance with the Telikom National Soccer League after his team failed to qualify for the grand final  next Saturday.
In an interview with The National yesterday, Kim admitted that he was very disappointed with the performance of his boys against Gigira Laitepo Morobe FC.
Gigira Morobe won the match 1-0 after CMSS Tigers fullback Ila Ilaitia Jr was caught for a handball, allowing substitute midfielder Kohu Liam  to blastin  a spot kick to break the deadlock.
Despite accepting defeat after his boys’ loss, he blamed them for not committing themselves to the game against Gigira Morobe last Saturday.
He  congratulated Gigira Morobe for their win to break the Port Moresby dominance in the NSL grand final.
It has been an all-Port Moresby affair for the last four seasons but Gigira Morobe haven broken that trend by becoming the first team from outside the National Capital District to play against the reigning champions.
The South Korean business executive also congratulated Hekari United FC for becoming the NSL minor premiers and making the O-League finals.
Kim is also urging Papua New Guineans come along and support Hekari United in their first home-and-away final against Waitakere FC of New Zealand on Saturday for a chance to represent the country in the World club championships in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, later this year.
CMSS had been supporting the then Tigers Rapatona in the 2008-2009 NSL season and continued to back amateur club, CMSS Tigers in the NCD Public Servants soccer competition, however, they failed to live up to Kim’s expectations.
“We started off well at the start of the season. But did poorly in the second round, resulting in us missing out in the minor premiership and the grand final for the second time,” he said.
Kim is already looking forward to the new season.
