Tigers brace for good season in Digicel Cup

LAE Biscuit Company’s sponsorship to Snax Tigers, formerly known as the Lae Bombers are showing some positive signs of a fruitful season this year in the Digicel Cup.
And the management team led by Justus Rapula will be ensuring the Lae-based players produce positive results if their trial matches in Lae have been any indication.
With two weeks remaining before the opener against the Structural Bridging Systems Muruks, Tigers are sending out a stern warning that they will be a force to be reckoned with in the Digicel Cup after their strong win against the defending champions Goroka Bintangor Lahanis.
Tigers beat Lahanis 12-10 in an even contest in one of the double headers held during the Easter weekend at the Lae rugby league ground.
Last week, the Tigers held a revived Wantok Gaming Systems Mt Hagen Eagles 22-22.
In the other double header, Muruks came from behind to beat Eagles 16-10.
