Tigers eager to dim Suns
The National, Friday 4th of July, 2014
THE Taurama Suns will be looking to get back into the winners’ circle when they play the University Tigers tomorrow at the Taurama Barracks oval.
Round 10 of the Esi-loan AFL seniors will see an eager Tigers take on the smarting Suns.
Tigers Jeffery Namete rolled the dice to overcome injury last week but could not save his side, however he has been training well with the Mosquitoe’s team this week and primed for another strong game.
His Mozzie partners Brendan Gotuno, Laurie Logo and Clyde Pulah pose a danger to the Suns defence.
In Saturday’s other match, Gerehu Magpies have to show cause and be part of the competition as they take on the Gulf Giants.
Saturday’s game will be opened by women’s matches between the Suns and Gordon Kokofas; Tigers and Giants and Magpies versus Dockers.
On Sunday in the seniors, improving Dockers take on a fiery Kokofas outfit.
