KONE Tigers returned to the winner’s circle on Sunday with a hard fought 13-0 victory over an understrength Brothers at the Lloyd Robson Oval in Port Moresby.
The Tigers went into the game on the back of two successive defeats and were under pressure after a poor start to the season.
The return of brothers Eki and Samson Ene and playmaker Noel Joel gave a new edge to the Tigers who kept Brothers scoreless.
Brothers only had themselves to blame for a mistake-riddled performance which saw them gift Tigers with a mountain of possession.
Tigers backs set the foundation despite Joel leaving the field in the second half with an ankle injury.
