Tigers receive K10,000

KONE Tigers received K10,000 from Lae Biscuit Company on Saturday following a commitment from the firm to continue its partnership with the Port Moresby club.
Company director Fabian Chow said the support was in recognition of the relationship between the Tigers and the firm since 2002.
“It has been close to a 20-year relationship with the Tigers and we are proud to associate ourselves with an iconic club in rugby league,” he said.
Acknowledging the sponsorship, Tigers president Benson Upas said it was a timely gesture in a year affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“I thank the Chow family for recognising the club and having the confidence in us to guide players and develop them into good role models in their communities,” he said.
The Tigers are leading the Port Moresby Rugby Football League premier division after 18 weeks of competition and are contenders for minor honours as the season enters the final round this weekend.
