Time for a Polye-led government

The National, Tuesday 1st of April, 2014

I RECALL when Peter O’Neill was in the opposition with Sir Michael Somare.
O’Neill  was quiet and did not get involved in many parliamentary debates
The media even assumed a grand coalition as a result of weak opposition.
Now that Don Polye has been dumped in the name of political stability and whatever, I think the party should break away from the coalition and team up with other parties.
PNG deserves a government made up of people like Polye, Belden Namah, Powes Parkop, Jim Kas, Gary Juffa and Sam Basil just to name a few.
The People’s National Congress (PNC) can be destroyed like the mighty National Alliance (NA).
I am sure Polye knows what to do.
When Sir Michael dumped him to appoint Sam Abal as acting prime minister, Polye humbled himself.
Later in 2011, however, he destroyed the NA.
Once the legal eagles can speed up with the Ila Geno’s case, Polye can be prime minister and Namah the deputy.
Please good judges, save PNG by disposing Geno’s case (on the grace period) quickly to pave the way for a new government.
