Time for women to rise up

I AGREE with what Sohe MP Delilah Gore said in Goroka recently (The National, Nov 19).
Our politically-orient-ed wo­men leaders must rise up and test the men in this male-dominated arena.
She and her sister MPs have proved to the nation that women have the ca­pacity to become national leaders.
Women must not wait for the reserved seats bill to be passed before they can gain access to parliament.
This will enhance their self-respect as well as the respect of male MPs.
