Time to help public, says ESP police chief

CHRISTMAS and New Year celebrations in East Sepik province are expected to be trouble-free following the launch of the police special operation for this festive season by provincial police commander Insp Charles Parinjo in Wewak yesterday.
Insp Parinjo told about 100 policemen and women that the time had come for police to give back something to the people by protecting them this festive season after all the support they got from the people this year, including the recent pay rise.
The provincial government had allocated K50,000 to assist the police operation.
