ONE of the Austrlia’s most revered singers, Tina Arena, will lend her voice to the biggest event of the year – the Prime Minister’s Charity Gala.

And Richard Wilkins, the entertainment guru from the Today Show, will be jetting in to be Master of Ceremony.

The Prime Minister’s Charity Gala will be held at Dynasty Restaurant on Saturday.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill yesterday said he wanted to celebrate his first 12 months in office by joining hands and hearts with the corporate community to give back to those in need.

“This is our time to pause and take a moment out of our busy and hectic lives and give back,” he said.

“Together we express that we are not only investing in our nation’s growth but have compassion and willingness to support the many organisations who selflessly help others.

“I am thrilled and honoured that Arena and Wilkins will be joining us on the night. It demonstrates that friendship and support for PNG reaches from across the globe.”

Arena was recently voted the greatest Australian female vocalist of all time and has had more than 20 top-20 singles worldwide.

Well remembered for her heartmoving performance of the Flame at the Sydney Olympics, she will be releasing her new album in late 2013.
