Gabriel Tine is the first customer to receive his fully-financed goods from Theodist under their new consumer finance partnership with Moni Plus.
The consumer finance partnership provides a fast, quick and easily accessible finance option ‘in-store’ for customers wishing to purchase consumable items such as laptops, cameras, drones, etc.
Moni Plus said in a statement that Tine needed some items for his study this year and when he found out about the arrangement, dropped his application in store on Friday and received his items on Monday.
“This is Tine’s first loan and he says he is happy to be able to have fast, quick and easy access to in-store finance for important items such as laptops for the back-to-school period,” it said.
Tine said this also opened up options for many of his other work colleagues who were also interested at taking on additional study.
Moni Plus said customers would need to visit either the Port Moresby or Lae Theodist store to first obtain a quotation of their items.
“Moni Plus will then assess their eligibility for the scheme,” it said.
“If eligible, once approved, customers will be contacted instantly by Theodist to collect their items and invoice. The soft launch was during Christmas week.”
