Tkatchenko assures team

 SPORTS Minister Justin Tkatchenko assured Team PNG athletes and officials participating in the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, that the government was in full support of the task before them.

In a small ceremony at the Games Village, Tkatchenko said: “We are happy for your achievement for getting here. Now the next part is for you to do your very best.”

Tkatchenko, with dignitaries PNGOC secretary general Auvita Rapilla, PNGOC president Sir John Dawanincura, chef de mission Emma Waiwai, and PNG Sports Foundation chairman Graham Osborne, met with the PNG athletes and officials. 

Tkatchenko told the representatives that they were ambassadors of the country.
