PUMA Energy has appointed Hulala Tokome, pictured, its new country general manager.
He replaced Jim Collings who will continue as PNG chairman and working on the expansion opportunities for Puma’s PNG business.
Collings said Hulala had vast experience with 20 years in the industry both here and overseas.
“Commencing his career as a qualified accountant, Hulala brings a very well rounded perspective of the business through his previous roles of finance manager, HR manager and general manager of the downstream, sales and marketing business,” Collings said.
“In the current role of general manager strategy and external affairs, he has been instrumental in not only driving the business to achieve what it has thus far, but also plotting the path to the future as Puma Energy continues energizing the communities in PNG.”
Tokome served in boards of businesses including Nasfund and the Business Council PNG.
“Puma Energy has created a very strong brand in the market. It plays a critical role in energy self-sufficiency for the country by processing our local Kutubu crude through our local world class refinery,” Tokome said.
