Toropo hails soldiers

PNG Defence Force commander Brig-Gen Gilbert Toropo has praised soldiers at Moem Barracks in Wewak for maintaining discipline, physical fitness and their effective operation under Lt-Col Lari Opa over the past two years.
Toropo said the second Royal Pacific Island Regiment (2RPIR) provided tremendous operational, administrative and ceremonial support to East and West Sepik.
He said that was evident in the provision of disaster relief support by the unit last year.  “You have provided excellent operational support to the Government in other parts of the country,” Toropo said.
