Our friends from other countries should respect the sovereignty of Papua New Guinea and enjoy doing business here and not bring in products and/or substances that are dangerous to the lives of citizens.
The production and sale of dangerous drugs such as methamphetamine, ice and cocaine is directly from other parts of world are seen as a hegemonic and once rooted, it will have a bad impacts to our people.
The Department of Justice and Attorney-General should do their part, in regards to the legal requirements, so that the Government can enact a law in Parliament.
Police operations in country are well-planned and executed based on the evidence given.
The setback is the absence of a specific law that can be applied to indict lawbreakers.
The actual scenario reminds the relevant law agencies and even the public that laws are very important to govern all activities so anybody found in breach of said law must be dealt with it.
Many foreign businessmen and women are very good in running businesses and follow the laws of the land faithfully, complying to the Internal Revenue Commission and provisions of local employment.
Only a few of businesses need to be identified and be dealt with accordingly so that such sentences may be seen as a deterrent factor for others.
