FORMER England and Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield says Great Britain and England Women’s tour of Papua New Guinea has been a great experience despite their short stay.
“Everybody in PNG has been fantastic and very welcoming, and we’re delighted to be here,” he said.
“We’re building. We’re two years out (from the Rugby League World Cup) and we’re looking forward to it.
“It’s really important that we make sure we prepare well but we’re looking forward to welcome players from different countries and showing them what Britain is about and give them a great experience like we have here.”
Sinfield, a member of the Great Britain staff, said: “I don’t’ coach, that’s all. I sort of get involved in the programme and just trying to help other staff.”
The former Super League star and two times grand final winner was seen giving instructions to goal kickers and the playmakers of Great Britain who had their last training session yesterday.
