Town needs proper planning

Letters

WITH the boom in business activities in both the formal and informal sectors, influx of people are coming in to do business in Jiwaka.
Banz Town is becoming a trade centre for businesses.
Traders come from Jimi, Waghi and Kambia including nearby provinces Chimbu, Western Highlands, Enga, Southern Highlands and Hela.
Due to these new developments, the provincial government and district authorities need proper physical town planning and management.
This call has to be seriously considered by respective authorities for the health and hygiene of the public.
The town is becoming a health hazard since there are no proper toilets and dumping sites.
For weeks, rubbish are not removed and human wastes are dropped in the nearby bushes which is a health concern.
Responsible authorities should come up with a proper town planning.
