Training boosts aviation security

 A TOTAL of 51 aviation service providers received certificates yesterday in world class training for appropriate security procedures within the Papua New Guinea Aviation industry.

The three-day workshop was conducted at the G4S headquarters in Konedobu, Port Moresby.

“As a result of the training, participants can now detect illicit materials with a heightened sense and will be better  prepared in their line of work,”AusAID senior strategic policy adviser Peter White said.

“The course is designed to increase the capacity of the aviation industry service providers since safety is paramount for passengers and the travelling public. 

“The participants now can be able to maintain that PNG aviation industry is safeguarded.

“AusAID is happy to assist and will continue to do the same in years to  come.”

Participants who attended the event included  DHL, Guard Dog Security, Post PNG, Anitua, Meddent, EFM, TNT, G4S and SNP Security.
