TWENTY youths from Lae who attended a personal viability course last week have been empowered to tackle life’s challenges in a more positive manner.
Sixteen young men, including two pastors, and four women graduated with certificates after undergoing a two-week course conducted by the entrepreneurial development training centre under the auspices of the Human Development Institute (HDI).
Participant Ubie Balarungkec said the training helped them to realise things they thought they wouldn’t do in life.
“The training helped us realised that we’ve been wasting our time on non-beneficial things in life,”he said.
Another participant, David Sani said: “The training has broken down negative ideas and shows us new direction in life.
“It helped us to look at our potential, and to use resources to do something. I wanted to start something immediately.”
