A GOVERNMENT Economic and Fiscal Commission workshop in Lae heard how lack of training and gender imbalance led to lack of reports from government departments in the province.
It heard that lack of qualification among staff and clarity for roles contributed to lack of information available from the departments.
Males between 45 and 50 years old dominated departments and at least 48 per cent lacked qualification to meet the demands of public service and district service improvement programmes
Nearly half of staff did not have any training over the last five years.
