Trawen names officers for Kandep by-election

POLLING officials from Momase region and Hela province will be engaged to conduct the Kandep by-election in Enga province next month.
Chief Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen said team leaders from Hela and Simbu would be engaged to conduct the polling.
Deputy Electoral Commissioner John Kalamoroh said in an email that the Kandep by-election presented a challenge in that “must be seen to be doing what is right by the public and of course the court’s finding.”
Mr Kalamoroh told the people of Kandep he was there to support the returning officer Poevare Tore as the election manager for Enga.
He said Mr Tore would take full charge of the election along with his two assistant returning officer Kila Egaba and Kila Ralai.
All the presiding officers would be their election managers except for Jimmy Alywin from Eastern Highlands, Kala Rawali from Western Highlands and David Wakias from Southern Highlands province.
The election manager of Enga would not be in charge of the Kandep by-election.
