FEMALE singer Julie Toliman Turalir has paid tribute to bass guitarist of iconic Painim Wok bank.

She said Alfred Fitzgerald Edmund Kennedy Toliman inherited his talent from his traditionally artistic family.

“It was through determination and diligence that the artist made a name for himself in the music industry.”

Toliman, born in 1964, was in the Junior Unbelievers Band (left school in Grade 5 to join the band) and Double Vision before Painim Wok.

His life was changed when his father Mathias Toliman died and he sought solace through music.

It is understood that he has passed on his music skills to his son Rupen.

“Perhaps Painim Wok won’t have to look for a replacement,” Toliman said.
