Papua New Guinea Kumuls’ Willie Minoga, Wartovo Puara Jr, and former Hunter Stargroth Amean underwent an interview with Barrow Raiders officials in Port Moresby yesterday.
According to the Raiders Facebook page, the interview was necessary for the trio to secure visas in order to play for the English second-tier club next year.
It will take up to 10 days to issue the players with a four-week visa, according to the Facebook page.
“They will fly to the UK on that visa within the four weeks,” the page said.
“Working visas for the year will be available at a designated centre in Lancaster.”
Meanwhile, the Raiders have called on the Barrow community to make the trio feel welcome.
“The Barrow Raiders have also called on any potential sponsor or employer to get in touch with them on behalf of the three players,” the page said.
