Trukai props up Goroka Show for 14th time

Trukai Industries Ltd has maintained its support for the annual Goroka Show with a sponsorship of K10,000.
The company has sponsored the event for 14 consecutive years and is committed towards giving back to the community and supporting such events that promote PNG’s diverse cultures, it said.
The sponsorship consists of K5,000 cash and K5,000 worth of rice that will go towards assisting the show committee to stage the event.
Trukai will also support the Pikinini Show with merchandise items for prizes.
The items will go towards various activities organised for schoolchildren from across Eastern Highlands.
Company’s sponsorship and corporate affairs manager Ancilla Wrakuale said Trukai was delighted to be part of one of PNG’s oldest and popular cultural shows.
“We have been supporting the Goroka Show, including other major cultural events around the country, over many years and that shows our strong commitment towards supporting community-oriented events like this as they generate much-needed revenue for local communities,” she said.
Wrakuale said Trukai was a household name loved by many across PNG so this was another way of the business giving back to the communities.
Similar to previous years, there will be a Trukai stall at the show ground.
