TST donates to quake victims
A donation of food, bedding, water and other goods worth more than K100,000 has been made by the TST Group of Companies to help people affected by February’s earthquake.
The supplies filled three trucks which were taken to the storage warehouse at Murray Barracks where they were received by emergency controller Dr William Hamblin.
The goods included more than 500 cartons of canned and packet food, 200 cartons of bottled water, 3000kg of rice, blankets, bedding, water storage containers, bags, towels and toys.
“We share the grief and the loss of our people that this destruction has caused, and it is our role as a corporate citizen born into this great country … to donate to these relief efforts,” said John Kianimbil on behalf of the TST management team.
Emergency controller Hamblin thanked TST for its donation and assured the company the supplies would be delivered to those who need it.
TST is a family-oriented retailer.
