Tubal congratulates Dion

EAST New Britain provincial administrator Akuila Tubal has congratulated Governor  Leo Dion on behalf of public servants and the people for retaining the provincial seat.
Tubal said it had been a long battle but there was now a new beginning to the next five years.
While noting that three seats in the province had been retained, Tubal said stability and continuity were very important not only in the public service but in the political arena.
“It is good to work with leaders who know us already so it will be easy to continue from where we stopped.”
He said it would be easy for re-elected leaders as there was already a 10-year strategic plan established and that they were familiar with.
He appealed to the new member for Kokopo Ereman ToBaining Jnr, Gazelle MP Malakai Tabar, Rabaul MP Dr Allan Marat and Dion to all work together as a team  with the administration .
to achieve more in the next five years under the guidance of the strategic plan.
“The plan is all about growing the economy of this province but most importantly to equalise services in the province,” Tubal said.
He said there had been many developments in the province in the past two years and that the economy of the Pomio and Baining areas were growing at a much faster rate than Gazelle.
“Their economy will propel the economy of ENB soon,” he said.
He challenged the people of Gazelle district to work hard in growing economy in their area.
Tubal confirmed the road link to Pomio was nearing completion, with 14-kilometres left to complete on the South Coast.
