Turn to God for support

THIS letter is to fellow Papua New Guineans in government and church leaders.
It is based on Jeremiah 1 in the Old Testament to warn people to return to God instead of manmade laws.
Few years ago, PNG hosted Apec meetings and predicted that our nation would become prosperous after the Apec.
However it’s the opposite.
The Government has put a lot of trust in two powerful nations – America and China – to bring more wealth to PNG.
Nothing is really happening today.
Apec was only a tool to display the world’s political power by two nations and their control over the smaller nations instead of God’s Almighty blessings.
PNG is God’s paradise, however our political leaders have been mismanaging our resources.
Let us not pretend anymore.
PNG should not listen to any advice from other world leaders.
The current coronavirus pandemic is a test for PNG to return to God and ask for forgiveness instead of fear.
The coronavirus has brought fear into the lives of many people worldwide and especially churches.
Churches are urging their believers to stay away from church gatherings.
This to me is Satan’s direct attack on God’s people and nations but the devil will soon lose the battle.
God will protect us so let us keep our faith and trust and hope in Him.
I urge Prime Minister James Marape and his cabinet and church leaders especially my ELCPNG Lutheran Church Bishop to turn to God instead of mankind laws.
Fear not for our God Almighty is with us.
