DIGICEL Stars 3 judge Akay 47 has motivated and encouraged students of Milford Haven Primary School on a visit to Lae, Morobe.
The team, which included judges Moses Tau, Lorna McPherson, Akay 47 and members of Digicel and an EMTV camera crew, visited the students last Friday.
Akay 47 (Allen Kedea) encouraged students to take education seriously and do well in their studies.
“Education, just like Digicel Stars, is a golden opportunity for you to really take-off and excel,” he said.
“The important thing is not being afraid to take chances.
“Remember, the greatest failure
is not trying.
“Once you find something you love to do, be the best at it,” Kedea told the students.
“It takes courage to be on the show and these skills can be learned at an early age in school.
“Don’t let opportunities that you desire and enjoy pass you by like a window of opportunity missed.”
Kedea urged students to concentrate on the things they wanted and not on the things they feared.
“Digicel Stars is here to help you achieve you dream in singing or becoming a great songwriter, singer, part of a group, an artist or a performer,” he said.
The team presented sports equipment and back-to-school packs.
