Tvet helping school leavers

Letters

THE number of grade 12 drop outs is increasing every year and is having inconsiderable effect in the lives of many students who don’t formally secure spaces at tertiary institutions.
The establishment of technical vocational education training (Tvet) institutions in some provinces and dictricts willl greatly help a lot of these unfortunate students.

  • Totally agree and if the government at all levels is not proactive now to recognize private TVET training institutions and centres then there is a likelihood of Districts, towns and cities filled with grade 10s and grade 12s .

  • No job vacancy in the country the Government must focus on having school levers to Agriculture college and promote self sustainability. There is no position for TVET students in mining industry .We are wasting school fees that can be used to do small business at home then wasting school fee for students after graduating looking for job which is very rare.
