Two in critical condition from lightning strike

TWO people are now in a critical condition at the intensive care unit at the Kundiawa hospital after sustaining severe burns from Sunday’s lightning strikes in Dom Kagul village.
Kundiawa hospital confirmed late yesterday afternoon two others were killed from the lightning while another 30 people were evacuated by road to Kundiawa hospital.
Village spokesperson Bernadine Kua said the Simbu governor’s office in Kundiawa had hired another vehicle to assist the ambulance in transporting those needing medical attention from the incident on Sunday to the Kundiawa hospital.
The two,  who are now in critical condition, were among the six people that were evacuated to the Koge health centre by the ambulance on Sunday night from Dom Kagul village.
