TWO young women, Stephanie Mina and Watin Yagum, are among 20 soccer referees attending a short elite referees’ course in Port Moresby.
PNGFA competition manager, Edward Tauloi, said the two-day FIFA/OFC-recognised course starts today at the PNG Institute of Public Administration in Port Moresby.
It ends tomorrow.
The referees attending this course were screened and selected after passing FIFA fitness tests, conducted by PNGFA referees development officer, Taku Niebo, last weekend in Lae and Port Moresby.
Tauloi said this course was aimed at preparing the referees for  National Soccer League duties.
The facilitators of the course are FIFA/OFC referees development officer Massimo Raveino and FIFA referees’ instructor Neil Poloso.
The workshop will be officially opened by the acting president of PNGFA and the chairman of the National Soccer League, John Kapi Natto.
