UN agencies join in millennium campaign

UNITED Nations agencies in Papua New Guinea took to the front of the Deloitte’s Tower in Port Moresby to “Stand up and take action” in the United Nations Millennium campaign in unison with many countries worldwide to remind their governments to attain the Millennium Development Goals before 2015 and to end poverty.
United Nations Communication analyst, Elizabeth Turi, said more than 300 staff from the various UN agencies were joined with the Deloitte Tower management, other government bodies and security guards.
This massive global campaign was a three- day event that occurs annually from  Oct 16-18, where communities, individuals, corporate bodies and everyone are encouraged to stand up take action.
