PORT Moresby Rugby Football League (PRL) deputy chairman Samson Unagi wants to see points in ‘black and white’ from the PRL club presidents before the board can answer to the allegations levelled against them.Unagi fronted up at The National’s office yesterday to reply to a story published in this paper regarding the delegates meeting on Tuesday.
“I don’t have anything in black and white yet regarding the allegations raised against the board.  We will only reply to them when we get the necessary papers,” Unagi said.
He expressed disappointment that the meeting was called without the knowledge of the rest of the board members, and specifically pointed out that only the board was allowed under the PRL constitution to call meetings.“As deputy chairman, I automatically stepped into the chairman’s role in the absence of the chairman (Labi Amaiu),”“I called about 4-5 delegates’ meetings and there was no quorum.” so I don’t know where these allegations came from.”Club Presidents had met on Tuesday afternoon to move a motion to get rid of the Board, but agreed to wait until the Board replied, after Unagi’s intervention.
Amaiu was also present at the meeting and allowed for the motion, however Unagi stated that the board consisted of five members and decisions can only be made by the board in totality.
