Undertakers escape Northbuild clutches

FUNERAL Home were stretched to their limits keeping out Northbuild before eventually winning their Sportsz Events Corporate 9s game 12-8 in extra time at the National Football Stadium on Wednesday.

The score was tied 8-8 at full time but the undertakers managed to have the last say with Clensy Keii scoring a try in the first minute of extra time off a short kick off.
Northbuild could not secure the high ball and Funeral Home swooped two tackles off the scrum.
The undertakers advance to the cup semifinal against Spidertek on Oct 20 at NFS.
Spidertek edged PNG Power 8-4 to secure their cup playoff berth.
Funeral Home were under tremendous pressure trailing Northbuild after Siki Lesley bagged a four-pointer but Funeral Home’s Emmanuel Herea equalised 4-4.
Northbuild got ahead to 8-4 but with a minute remaining in the game Jojo Forova levelled the scores forcing game into extra time.
In the other games, PWC edged NCDC 4-0 while Property PNG beat Brian Bell 16-14 with a last-minute try.
