Unhappy teachers

Letters

AS a teacher, I would like to express my disappointment with the way the commissioners of Teaching Service Commission are behaving.
They are always away on duty travels and are hardly in the office.
Although duty travel is part of performing their duties, being away from the office for too long is disappointing.
Last week, teachers went to the office but there was hardly anyone there to deal with their enquiries.
They were told that the commissioners would be away for the next two weeks. We wondered why they were away for so long.
Apart from the commissioners, the staff are also not always there.
We were told that the officer responsible for pay queries has not been at work for two weeks.
We understand that the commission has three commissioners, so two of them can stay in the office while one travels.
Can the higher authorities look into this problem and talk to our employers?
