UNITECH FC continued their winning streak in beating Poro FC 2-1 in the main game of the Lae Football Association competition on Sunday.

Unitech is leading the competition and is undefeated. They did not give Poro any room to execute their style of open soccer by shutting them down.

Unitech lead 1-0 lead at halftime.

With the return of their NSL players, the teams came back in the second half strongly. The game see-sawed until finally Unitech’s midfielders found an opening in Poro’s line to sail the ball past goalkeeper Matheson Nasi to go 2-0 up.

Poro, with the return of Nigel Dabinyaba and Raymond Gunemba from Hekari, scored in the dying minutes when they were awarded a penalty. The students’ team, with a core of Morobe United players in their side, held onto to win 2-1.
