AN extra 360 students are now being enrolled at Divine Word University, Madang, due to the K8.3 million funds which was granted through the Papua New Guinea Incentive Fund (PNGIF) programme

DWU President Fr Jan Czuba said five dormitories were built to provide quality house for the students, which was something remarkable for all on the campus.

Czuba said the dormitories were designed and constructed to accommodate persons with disabilities, not all but some.

“There is something we have to prove in order for PNGIF to achieve excellence and we congratulate you (PNGIF),” Czuba said.

He said what DWU achieved was creating facilities to accommodate the increasing number of students, especially female students with the high percentage of 54%.

He said this was the second time DWU received funds from the PNGIF, therefore the dormitory project started on time and finished before time.

“Every institute has its quality because of the fund planning and developing projects,” Czuba said.

He stressed that this happened because of the flexibility of the PNGIF team to assist and provide technical and diplomatic advice and visit all their funded projects.

This year, DWU enrolled 2,500 students.
