University starts second semester examinations

University of Papua New Guinea started its external examinations on Monday.
Examinations begun on the 15th week of second semester, for the 2018 academic year at the Waigani campus.
Schools of humanities and social sciences, business and public policy, law and natural and physical sciences are doing their examinations.
Examinations are scheduled for two weeks, with different courses undertaken by students in different schools.
Law together with some strands under business and public policy started their examinations last week, while the rest began on Monday.
“We started our examinations on Monday and will continue this week and next week to conclude the second semester,” a student said.
“Some strands under school of business and school of law started their examinations last week.
“The rest of us have started off this week and will continue next week for the second and final week to conclude the second semester for the 2018 academic year.”
University media director Jim Robins confirmed with The National the examination schedule.
“The examinations are currently underway at the Waigani campus,” he said.
“It started on Monday and will end on Oct 10.
“By Oct 13, everyone should vacate the campus.
“The Lahara programme will also commence at a later date once everyone has vacated the campus.”
Robins could not comment on examinations for the University of Papua New Guinea Medical Faculty because it had its own schedule.
