STUDENTS from Nipa-Kutubu attending University of Papua New Guinea have thanked their MP Jeffery Komal for helping them with their fees.

The students, led by their association president Simon Popon, said helping develop human resource would benefit the district, province and country.

“This is the first time for students from the resource-rich district to receive assistance from a member of parliament,” Popon said.

They thanked Komal for helping schools and improving services in the district.

The Nipa South basketball team thanked Komal for helping them with K50,000 to take part in the Souths basketball competition in Port Moresby.

A remote community in the Muluma district in Mt Boasave thanked Komal for visiting there and allocating funds to schools in the district.

Komal said he wanted to make a difference during his term as a member of parliament for the district.
