Unprecedented events created

Letters

PRIME Minister James Marape is creating unprecedented events in the history of PNG by continuously inviting outspoken and vibrant opposition leaders into government.
He has invited Opposition Leader Patrick Pruaitch and NA from the opposition to team up with government.
From the outset, it can be seen that Marape’s idea of inviting Pruaitch is to silence the opposition from further pursuing the Supreme Court reference filed by the opposition.
Belden Namah should continue with the case since it was filed by the opposition and not individual person as Pruaitch.
After all, the recent move by the government to invite all opposition is totally uncalled for in a democratic country.
The government is feeling insecure and thus undermining the capabilities of the existing leaders in the government.
Nevertheless, it would be better for the remaining MPs in the opposition to join the government as well if that is the way Marape wants and leave no one in opposition.
