SPONSORS, guardians and parents of students attending the University of Goroka this year will dig deeper to pay 25% of school fees to off set administrative costs.
In an urgent public notice this week, university registrar David Hosea told parents, sponsors and guardians that 25% of the fees would be incurred for administrative and management costs.
He said the management had decided to pass on the costs unlike in the past.
Hosea said all refunds would be done at the end of each semester after reconciliations and confirmations had been completed.
“Sponsors, guardians and parents are urged to consult with the university administration before making payments of school fees,” he said.
“You must inform the university administration of when you will be paying the fees,” Hosea said.
The notice for the 25% administration cost for processing school fees is given a week before students go into orientation.
Classes start after orientation week, which is next Monday.
